HOUSE SPRINGS, Mo. — The future looks bright for the International Hot Rod Association with several of the talented Junior Dragster racers making noise at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals presented by Strange Engineering.
A.J. Leung from Wisconsin International Raceway won the prestigious IHRA Ironman trophy as the 2023 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion with the talented Ty Janousek from Little River Dragway coming up just one spot short.
Slade Olinde placed third in the final rundown after qualifying for the World Finals by winning the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Moser Engineering and FuelTech at State Capitol Raceway.
Janousek was joined by fellow Texas racers Caden Keyes from Penwell Knights Raceway and Collin Russell, the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular winner at Xtreme Raceway Park in the top five. Aubrey Loy, the 2022 IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Champion from Knoxville Dragway, advanced in eliminations to finish sixth.
Addy Jones was seventh after being the Muncie Dragway track champion. Tyler Cromer from Kentucky Dragway finished eighth nationally after qualifying for the World Finals at the IHRA Division 3 (North Starts) Summit Team Finals at Dragway 42.
A pair of individual track champions — Gunner Abernethy from Wilkesboro Dragway and Gavin Jones from Jeffers Motorsports Park — complete this year’s top 10 Junior Dragster list.
